MOUNT ELIZA Lions Club

District 201V3, Victoria, Australia

Welcome to the Mount Eliza Lions Club website

Mount Eliza is an outer suburb 48 kms south-east of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia; just 7 kms from the City of Frankston.

The town centre is known as Mount Eliza Village and is the main shopping area for the suburb. It is situated at the intersection of Canadian Bay Road and Mount Eliza Way. The village is a bustling centre of activity and is well served by many businesses.

The Mount Eliza Lions Club conducts their meetings at 6.30pm on:

-  the 2nd Tuesday of each month at ROCG [Office 2, 26-28 Carbine Way, Mornington]

-  and the 4th Tuesday of each month at The Mt Eliza Country Club [32 Old Mornington Rd, Mt Eliza]

The Mount Eliza Lions Club was established in 1969 and our Club is comprised of both men and women with the common objective of contributing to the community.

Our support covers all facets of community life here on the Mornington Peninsula and the wider world in which we live.

Fund raising and community service

To generate funds for the provision of services to the local and wider world community, we give of our time to such diverse activities as:

- the promotion and running of major fund-raising events

- provision of labour and services for community events put on by the Mornington Peninsula Shire and commercial organisations i.e. Mornington Food and Wine Festival, Australia Day etc

- regular local sausage sizzle stalls and Farmers market

- sales of Christmas cakes, social events, etc.

All funds raised are through the voluntary efforts of the Lions Club members, and over the past several years, these funds have been dispersed to a broad range of needy organisations and groups:

But its not all work; the Lions enjoy a great social occasion. They can often be seen around the cafes and restaurants of Mount Eliza, supporting the local traders and each others good company.

What do we do with the funds we raise?

All funds raised are through the voluntary efforts of the Lions Club members, and over the past several years, these funds have been dispersed to a broad range of needy organisations and groups:
